Okay, I remembered another book that I thought you guys might like. It's not exactly light reading, but it's amazing. 1776 by David McCullough. It's great! And Katie I hope you're happy I've filled out a profile.
I really liked 1776 too. In fact, since I remember so little about history, I was biting my nails the whole time. Another book I love is The Spirit Catches You and YOu Fall Down by Anne Fadiman. It's a medical ethnography about a Hmong family in merced CA and their experiences with American medicine. Really cool. But for just good reading during the holidays you can't beat Dickins' Christmas Carol. I love that book. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I'm grateful for you all. :)
