Rattlesnake Canyon

Joey and I went on an excursion on Thursday to a place just south of Rock Springs which we now call Rattlesnack Canyon. As we were walking along that ledge Joey said, "Erin, wait!....I think I hear a rattlesnake!" I heard it and said, "Let's get out of here!" Then there were two and Joey was taking pictures and throwing rocks. It was a neat place, though.

Actually, I think "Joey and me."

This is Joey and I. My hair's a little crazy and my dress a little plain (I did them both myself), but it did the trick. Amanda Hansen took our photos.

Million Dollar Idea

Erin. Kelly and I have discovered that our attraction towards Mormon boys is decreasing, while our attraction for good cute boys outside of the LDS world is increasing. We want you to write a 12 step program in book form entitled "How to Convert Your Man." We will accept 30% of all your profits. Thank you.

Well...

I don't even know if anyone reads this blog anymore. But...here is something exciting.

Erin Teichert is getting married. That's right folks.

Also, I am moving to Washington DC.

Also, Alison is having her baby this week (if it comes on time...we're going to feed her spicy food all week to ensure that it does).

Also, Julie moved back to the states and had her second baby this summer.

Also, Ashley moved to Portland and is having a magical time.

Also, I am going to the Great Smokey Mountains in two days. I have a feeling it will be the most exciting time of my life.

Great Adventure

Well, facebook doesn't lie, I have been on a trip. I went to London and Paris for a couple weeks, and I had a pleasant experience. Let me list why I like it there:

London:
1) No one's clothes match, no one cares.
2) Everyone's hair is frizzy, I fit right in.
3) The Tower of London has moving sidewalks in front of the crown jewels, so you can just go around and around and around, admiring all the gems they've stolen by exploiting the Africans.
4) People still live in castles.
5) They get free healthcare (never mind the 25% taken out of their paychecks in taxes)
6) When there is an accident on their freeways, nothing gets moved out of the way, the road just shuts down for hours.
7) Their broadway shows are incredible.
8) Everyone loves Michael Cain.
9) The handsome English men that walk you to the subway in the morning and think that you have a great accent and tell you your boyfriend is the luckiest man in the world.
10) The double decker bus tours
11) The art museums have paintings/sculptures that you've learned about in school
12) The subway doors close on people, it's scary to get your head shut in it

Paris:
1) The bread
2) The croissants
3) The crepes
4) The pastries
5) Bartering is awesome - one store owner said he'd give me the merchandise for cheaper if I'd got to dinner with him (in the end, I got it for the price I wanted, and I didn't even go to dinner with him, we decided I would go with him the next time I was in Paris)
6) Notre Dame
7) The Rodin Museum
8) Everyone speaks French. . .it's pretty confusing
9) All you have to do is be American to be invited onto a French TV Show
10) There are A LOT of stairs. . .such great exercise without even trying.

That's about it. . .I actually have to get back to work. But it was fun, would have been more fun if any of you had taken me up on my offer and come with me. ;)

Halloween Fun

Here are the kids in their costumes for Halloween. Grace dressed up in two different costumes, one for a court Halloween party and another for Halloween. Jack slept through the court party so he only had one costume this year.

Grace as Tigger

Princess Grace (isn't she beautiful?)

Jack the Honey Pot

So this wasn't really a planned costume, but it works. Jack the future Olympian.

Hi, all!

Oh my! I didn't realize it had been so long since I was last here. You guys are super amazing and you have the cutest kids and the best adventures!

Not a whole lot is new here. Brian was offered a consulting job with MAGIC Magazine (the best in the biz) so he took that and that's been fun and exciting. It's very part-time, so that's good. He's just working on helping the magazine transition into the online world and he's trying to help their convention be more profitable and get them more subscribers and advertisers. Not an easy task, but Brian's excited about it. The only thing it really means for me is that I get more ideas thrown past me and we take a trip down to Vegas every month.

Other than that, we're still trucking along with Creative Magic. It keeps us busy. We're headed to Louisville, KY later in July for a major convention. Hopefully we'll make bank there! Keep your fingers crossed.

Otherwise, we're still here in Payson with our Puga. Here's a link to a video of Puga practicing his new trick just in time for the 4th of July!

Love you guys!!

O-HI-O

I'm sitting in my conference, and I'm bored to death, so I thought I'd post something here, since it's been. . .I have no idea how long its been since I've posted on here.

Anyway, I'm in Ohio. . .

I tried BBQ flavored popcorn for the first time in my life. It was an experience. Everytime I would put one in my mouth I would go into a coughing fit. It was one of those things where the seasoning was so intense that if I breathed in while putting it in my mouth it would attack my senses. It was an adventure.

Large, black women keep getting upset with me. My very existence must offend them. . .I get the feeling they don't like me. I think they're envious of my ghetto bootie (That's right Ashley, my ghet-to boo-tie).

I met a drunk man in the elevator that found me to be charming, even without me saying anything. . . then he turned out to be my neighbor in the hotel. Fate.

I met two nurses in the hotel hot tub that have almost convinced me to go back to school to get my nursing degree.

My 60-year-old work friend and I have had an enjoyable time watching shows like Geek to Chic, the Bachelorette, and America's Best Dance Crew (who knew JC Chasez was doing something so worthwhile with his life), while discussing the joys of living during the era of reality tv.

I have consumed so much Chinese food I will most likely return home Chinese. . .watch out.

After having been deprived of seeing the end of Hairspray while I was in Portland, I was elated to see it would be playing on HBO. I stayed up until 2 am so I could see the last 20 minutes. It was hard to stay awake in my class the next day, but it was so worth it.

Swimming every night in the pool, 6 hour work days, a fancy Hilton hotel that constantly plays classical music, mints on my pillow, and hotel staff that call me Miss Kitchen. . .

I would come to Ohio again. (only if it were on my company's tab again)

Dentist

Hip hip hooray for Gracie. She took her first trip to the dentist today. After having quite the tumble down the stairs we had to take her in to see if she needed spacers. She was amazing. Hopped right into the chair, had some pleasant conversation with the dentist, calmly held her mouth open while he felt her gums and teeth, then happily took home her new "big" toothbrush.

Easter Adventures

So I thought you all might like to see some shots of our Easter. It was great. It's part of mine and Morgan's attempts to make more childhood memories for Grace and Jack. And even though they might not remember it, at least we had fun. ;)

Here we are at Grandma and Grandpa's house dying eggs.

Jack wasn't a huge fan, I'm guessing because we wouldn't let him play with the dyes. I know, I know, we're cruel parents.

Here are the kids with their Easter baskets. It took Grace a while to figure out the whole finding the basket thing, but she liked it when she found it. And I think Jack just liked that Grace was finally distracted enough that he could play with her sippy cup.

Here we all are wearing the bunny ears...some more successfully than others. It's a little difficult to get anything to stay on the head of a nine month old. ;)

Then came the making of the rolls for dinner. Grace happily helped stir and then proceeded to spill it all over herself and the floor. Jack was on clean up duty.

Then we had our Easter egg hunt.

Here's Gracie eating her spoils.

Here are the kids in their Easter best, I think Grace was getting tired of the pictures. Maybe you are too. ;)

Last but not least. We thought we would put something in Gracie's Easter basket to help her remember what Easter is really all about. She decided to hang it on the fridge.

I hope you all had a great Easter, with some fun and some good time to think about what it's all about. Love you all.

A few more weeks to go:)

Okay, here is big ol' me at 36 weeks. Guess what?! This baby has decided to go breech just like Eli--so unless he flips (unlikely) within this next week it looks like we'll be having a c-section. Crazy eh?!! If that is the case...only 3 weeks to go!

And a picture of a gorgeous flower to make you all smile!
