Pictures from Japan

This is tricky, this posting a blog! Here are some pictures from my trip to Japan. We'll have Julie identify them.

Wow it looks gorgeous there, but I think that I would have to pick the handbag as my favorite picture. ;) So is that your grandma that you're hugging in the picture? Where's your grandpa?

Isn't that bag funny? All the shirts and stuff with English is really weird...makes me wonder what the Japanese things we have over here say. :) Actually, that's not my grandma. That's Meiko--a friend of Grandma's. She took us to Nara and Kyoto and we stayed at her house for awhile. We went to Mt. Fuji with her and her son, too. I'll try to post a picture of Gr. & Gr. when I get up the nerve to try posting again. You know, Al, I think you're just fabulous.

That should have been ARE really weird. I know our editor will catch that. Also, I don't know if all the English stuff is weird or not...just the stuff I saw.

So fun Erin!!!!! Thanks for posting all those pics!! I love them! You are one lucky gal I must say!! How long did you go for and what was your favorite thing about the trip?--I'd love to hear a bit about it all! You are great Erin!!

I was there for about 2 weeks and it was really cool. Aside from seeing my granparents, my favorite part was hiking on Mt. Fuji...or on the mountain next to Mt. Fuji. See, it was kind of hard to understand just where we were and it was really foggy, so I'm not sure which mountain I was on. It was fun, though. I also really liked seeing things that have been around for thousands of years. It's incredible and I loved it. I took a bunch of little videos, but I don't know how to post them.

Erin!! I am so jealous. It looks beautiful, and I bet you had so many adventures. Um, and why did Alison think that was your grandma? You don't have a Japanese grandma, do you?? I just thought they were living in Japan. I mean, you don't look Japanese.

Wow that looks really neat! I love the cherry blossoms! Too bad you missed the best part of Japan-ME! Just joking! Erin-I think that you do look japanese! How was Kyoto? I am planning to go there with my parents in August. I would also like to see the videos.. YOu are too cute!

Erin, how fun! You're so much braver than I am - you too Julie! And Brandy, too, I guess! Going over to Japan or China or somewhere like that scares me! I would love to do it, but I would have to get over that little fear first!

Julie, I know I missed the best part. :( I can't believe I was in Tokyo and didn't see you!! Kyoto was awesome. Everything was. What I would have like to do more of would be going out in more rural places to see out-ot-the way things. I wish I could have gone to the coast, too, and it would have been cool to go to the temple, but the whole thing was neat. You know what would have been cool would be to learn a song in Japanese and go to a nursing home or something. They'd probably get a real kick out of your eyes and hair...I even had people rubbing my arms because I was so white...or snow white. Hee-hee. And Kelly, I do have a Japanese grandma. She's my grandpa's second wife. Boy, if you want to hear some true, hair-raising stories, you need to hear the stories of her life. She's something else.
Bekah, I get so nervous to go places too--if I have to fly. I hate airplanes, but the good part is that those overseas flights have bigger planes...well, good because they're not so claustraphobia-causing, but bad because that's all the more weight they have to hold up. I'd rather work my way over on a cattle boat.
